Job summary

The New York Times is seeking a Sr. System Analyst - Procurement to own Zip configuration, release management, and governance across its SaaS platforms.

You will partner with Sourcing, Accounts Payable, Finance and Legal to translate requirements into Zip changes and ensure alignment with Workday Financials and other SaaS apps. This hybrid role is based in New York City with typically 2 days in the office weekly.

Qualifications

• 5+ years configuring SaaS procurement/finance apps.
• 3+ years API/integration experience.
• Hands-on production SaaS configuration, testing, release and change control.
• Familiarity with ticketing tools (ServiceNow/JIRA) and structured intake processes.
• Ability translate requirements into structured config changes and document decisions.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to data quality.
• Background in enterprise technology, finance systems, or shared services.

Responsibilities

• Manage Zip configuration, workflows, fields, validations, permissions and company settings.
• Manage Zip release cycles (monthly and ad hoc) including testing and production promotions.
• Administer user roles and permissions in Zip for governance and security.
• Collaborate with Sourcing, AP, Finance and Legal to translate requirements into Zip changes.
• Handle Zip support requests, defects, and small enhancements.
• Follow SDLC and change control procedures for configuration, testing, validation and deployment.
• Maintain configuration docs and integration details (Workday Financials, Ironclad).
• Monitor Zip usage and data quality and propose workflow improvements.
• Serve as SME for Zip and provide user training and guidance.
