Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field required.
• Minimum of 5 years related experience, preferably in mining and/or material handling.
• Certified Purchasing Professional (CPP) certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Hire and manage staff for the Procurement department.
• Oversee daily workflow and schedules of the department.
• Negotiate contractual and commercial terms with suppliers as the company's representative.
• Prepare and process purchase orders and requisitions for materials, supplies, equipment, and services.
• Monitor procurement activities to meet deadlines.
• Monitor and report on supplier performance.
• Manage intermodal logistics including international import-export transactions globally.
• Establish and implement procurement processes and policies.
• Coordinate with other departments to identify business needs.
• Forecast future availability based on market conditions and delivery systems.
• Prepare and present market condition and procurement cost reports.
• Monitor stock inventory levels and coordinate disposal of surplus inventory.
• Administer the departmental budget.
