Job summary

Augmentis is seeking a Senior Procurement Buyer for our client in West Michigan. The role supports strategic and operational procurement, driving cost savings, supplier performance, and cross-functional collaboration in a fast-paced plant environment.

The position involves benchmarking, supplier planning, RFQ/RFP activity, and handling P2P issues, with relocation assistance and a remote start window of 30–60 days.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Supply Chain, or related field.
• 5–10 years procurement experience, preferably with purchase-to-pay exposure.
• Strong communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills with suppliers and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Support benchmarking, should-be-cost analysis, and business case development.
• Monitor supplier performance and assist with ASAT and compliance activities.
• Develop tools and templates to streamline procurement execution and team communication.
• Communicate with suppliers on operational topics and assist in RFQ/RFP processes with Strategic Buyers.
• Participate in supplier meetings and coordinate with Financial Shared Services to resolve P2P issues.
• Assist buyer/planners and operations staff in PO execution and AP issue resolution.
• Interface with Shipping, Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, and Quality to resolve cross-functional issues.
• Ensure adherence to global procedures, quality standards, and departmental policies.
• Resolve issues related to direct materials, services, and delivery to support production demands.
