Job summary

Augmentis Group is representing a global manufacturing organization seeking a Senior Procurement Buyer for its West Michigan plant. The role supports strategic and operational procurement efforts, focusing on cost savings, supplier performance, and cross-functional collaboration in a fast-paced environment.

The candidate will work with cross-functional teams to ensure timely procurement execution and alignment with quality standards, while navigating a dynamic production setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in business/related field.
• 5–10 years procurement experience, P2P exposure preferred.
• Technical understanding of manufacturing/industrial environments preferred.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Support benchmarking and cost analyses.
• Monitor supplier performance and compliance activities.
• Develop tools/templates to streamline procurement execution.
• Coordinate negotiations and RFQ/RFP processes with Strategic Buyers.
• Collaborate with Financial Shared Services on P2P issues.
• Assist buyer/planners and operations staff with PO execution and AP issues.
• Interface with Shipping, Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, and Quality to resolve cross-functional issues.
• Ensure adherence to global procedures and standards.
• Resolve issues related to direct materials and delivery to support production demands.
