Job summary

Augmentis Group represents a global manufacturing client seeking a Senior Procurement Buyer for its West Michigan plant. The role supports strategic and operational procurement, manages cost savings initiatives, supplier performance, and transactional execution in a fast-paced setting.

The position offers full relocation assistance with a 30–60 day remote start, comprehensive benefits from Day 1, and robust training within a collaborative culture focused on continuous learning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Supply Chain, or a related field.
• 5-10 years procurement experience, ideally with purchase-to-pay exposure.
• Experience in manufacturing/industrial environments preferred.
• Legally authorized to work in the U.S. (no visa sponsorship).

Responsibilities

• Support benchmarking, should-be-cost analysis, and business case development.
• Assist in planning and monitoring supplier performance, including ASAT and related compliance activities.
• Develop and maintain tools and templates to streamline team communication and procurement execution.
• Communicate with suppliers on operational topics; support negotiations and RFQ/RFP processes alongside Strategic Buyers.
• Participate in supplier meetings and liaise with Financial Shared Services to resolve purchase-to-pay issues.
• Support buyer/planners and operations staff in executing purchase orders, resolving AP issues, and supplier communications.
• Interface with Shipping, Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, and Quality to resolve cross-functional issues.
• Ensure adherence to global procedures, quality standards, and departmental policies.
• Resolve issues related to direct materials, services, raw material quality, quantity verification, and delivery to support production demands.
