Job summary

Applied Materials, a global leader in materials science, seeks a Process Support Engineer (PSE) in Boise, Idaho. You’ll guide products through lifecycle, delivering high-visibility on-site support, system diagnoses, and service/repair of complex equipment for semiconductor manufacturing.

You will work with customers and R&D teams to develop advanced processes, perform DOEs, and analyze data to draw actionable conclusions. Travel is required up to 25%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in chemistry/ physics, materials engineering, electrical engineering, optoelectronics or related field.
• 4-7 years of experience in the semiconductor fab or equipment industry.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to explain sensitive information and build consensus among project stakeholders.
• English language proficiency

Responsibilities

• Provide high-visibility customer support through on-site installations, system diagnoses, and the service and repair of complex systems and equipment.
• Collaborate with customers and R&D teams to develop leading-edge processes for manufacturing advanced semiconductor chips.
• Create hypothesis experiments and DOEs; analyze data with statistics; compile high-level conclusions.
• Troubleshoot complex problems; perform root cause analysis; resolve process engineering and customer product issues.
• Communicate with internal stakeholders and customers to build relationships and trust.
• Apply best practices to offer new perspectives using existing solutions.
• Lead small projects with manageable risks and resources
