Job summary

Lyten is seeking a proactive Manager, Process Quality Engineer to bridge production, engineering, and quality. You will own quality on assigned lines, lead investigations, and drive continuous improvements using DOE, SPC, and Six Sigma methodologies.

This role collaborates across teams to deliver high-quality, scalable processes. You will develop weekly quality reports, perform trend analyses, and mentor technicians in problem solving while supporting scale across facilities in the U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, materials science, or related field.
• 7+ years in quality and process engineering.
• 3+ years leading a team.
• Strong knowledge of DOE, SPC, FMEA, root cause analysis, ISO 9001.
• Proficiency with JMP, Minitab, Tableau and data visualization tools.
• Experience in Python or R for statistics or automation.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration, including executive reporting.

Responsibilities

• Own quality on assigned production lines.
• Monitor and address inline quality issues.
• Lead investigations using 5Why, Fishbone, six-sigma or DOE.
• Document findings with corrective and preventive actions.
• Develop weekly quality reports with data visualization.
• Provide trend analysis and predictive insights for KPIs.
• Automate repetitive data tasks using Python or R.
• Use metrology tools (SEM, Karl Fischer, MS).
• Perform Gauge R&R and tolerance analyses.
• Mentor technicians and junior engineers on problem solving.
• Cross-train between pouch and cylindrical lines to scale knowledge.
• Drive SOP creation, audits, QMS and NC systems.
• Close corrective actions within 15 days and preventive actions within 3 months.
• Lead innovation projects to improve process efficiency.
• Benchmark best practices via conferences and implement learnings.
• Support Engineering Manager in scaling processes across facilities.
