Lyten is seeking an experienced Staff Battery Engineer to lead pouch and prismatic cell design, driving the development from concept through pilot production and scale‑up. You will steer design decisions and mentor junior engineers.

You will collaborate with Materials, Process, Quality, and Manufacturing teams to translate product requirements into performance targets and qualification plans, enabling scalable, high‑yield production across the U.S. and Europe.

Qualificações

• PhD in a relevant field with 3+ years of industry experience in battery cell design or equivalent.
• Extensive hands-on pouch cell design and development experience; prismatic cell know-how preferred.
• Proven track record transitioning battery products from R&D to pilot/mass production.
• Strong expertise in data analysis tools (R, Python, JMP, Minitab).
• Deep understanding of cell mechanical design principles and manufacturing processes.
• Experience in cell data analytics, degradation modeling, and performance trade‑space analysis.

Responsabilidades

• Drive material selection, electrode design, stack configuration, and safety trade‑offs.
• Analyze large multi‑variant datasets to derive design‑performance correlations.
• Lead pouch/prismatic cell design and development from concept to production‑ready.
• Drive design for manufacturability (DFM) and design for assembly (DFA).
• Collaborate with product, business, and manufacturing teams on targets and plans.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership across projects.
