Job summary

Lyten, Inc. is seeking an experienced EHS Staff Professional to lead safety, environmental compliance, and risk management across battery manufacturing. Based in San Leandro, you will partner with Engineering, Facilities, and Operations to embed EHS into design, commissioning, ramp-up, and expansion.

You will influence critical decisions and drive scalable EHS standards across facilities. The role requires strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and process safety, plus hands-on experience with risk

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a relevant technical field with 5+ years in EHS in battery/energy or advanced manufacturing.
• Bachelor's degree with 7+ years in Environmental Health and Safety in similar settings.
• Proven ability to lead risk assessments and influence engineering decisions.

Responsibilities

• Lead EHS for facility design, capital projects, manufacturing processes, and readiness.
• Conduct risk assessments: HAZOP, PHA, FMEA, JHA, and PSSR.
• Develop and maintain EHS standards, procedures, and governance systems.
• Support commissioning and startup to ensure safe operation.
• Lead EHS readiness during ramp and expansion projects.
