Job summary

QuantumScape Battery, Inc. is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Quality Engineer to reduce process variation and connect upstream process data to yield and reliability outcomes.

You will drive specifications and control strategies with production teams across cell and separator lines. The role requires hands-on process knowledge on the factory floor, strong data analysis skills, and the ability to document improvements and transfer them to production with cross-functional partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering field plus 5 years in process/manufacturing quality roles.
• Experience reducing variation using variance components and multivariate analysis.
• Ability to translate data into process specifications and control changes.
• Strong JMP or Minitab statistics, regression, DOE, and SPC.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Drive process variation down using production data and eliminate dominant sources.
• Lead correlation projects linking upstream parameters to downstream outcomes across lines.
• Collaborate to identify yield improvements and lead DOEs and engineering experiments.
• Define CTQs and set specification limits grounded in data and process capability.
• Establish repeatable measurement processes and document in databases.
