Job summary

Capital One in McLean and Richmond, VA seeks a Principal Process Manager to lead process improvement initiatives, mitigate risks, and ensure effective controls. You will design and document processes, collaborate with cross‑functional teams, and translate customer needs into practical solutions while driving data analytics for senior leadership.

The role requires 3+ years in PM/Process Mgmt, strong problem solving, and the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels. Eligible for incentives.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent certification.
• At least 3 years of Project Management or Process Management experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree or Military experience preferred.
• 2+ years of SQL/Tableau or data analytics experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee process improvement work, partnering with teammates on major initiatives.
• Identify and implement improvements to drive issue resolution and risk mitigation.
• Track and resolve process breakdowns and understand customer needs.
• Develop and maintain formal process documentation and flow diagrams.
• Act as SME to partner with project customers to achieve outcomes with clear solutions.
• Gather data and use analytics/reporting to provide transparency to leadership.
