Job summary

Kiewit is seeking a Lead Process Engineer to drive design and execution of municipal and industrial water and wastewater projects across North America. You will lead treatment process selection, design packages, and coordinate with multiple disciplines to deliver safe, cost‑effective solutions.

10+ years in Water/Wastewater in a design‑build/EPC environment is preferred. Relocation assistance available; role based in Lenexa or Lone Tree with options for remote locations near hubs.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years in municipal and industrial water/wastewater markets with design experience.
• Experience as process design lead on design‑build projects is preferred.
• PE registration is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and engineering leadership for water/wastewater facility design, including process evaluation and optimization.
• Prepare engineering reports, drawings, specifications (PFDs, P&IDs, datasheets, calculations).
• Conduct hydraulics modeling and scenario studies to assess options.
• Coordinate with multi‑disciplinary teams to meet budgets and schedules.
• Engage with clients and partners to develop long‑term relationships and proposals.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to continuous improvement.
