Job summary
Kiewit is seeking a Principal Water Engineer to lead advanced municipal water treatment projects. You will guide process selection, modeling, and design, mentor engineers, and drive constructible, cost-effective solutions across North America.
Your work spans from early design through startup and commissioning. You will shape treatment strategies, act as the technical voice in pursuits, ensure design quality, and champion safety and innovation in all project phases.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Chemical, Mechanical, or Civil/Environmental Engineering.
- Minimum of 15 years’ experience in process development and design for municipal/industrial water.
- PE registration preferred.
- Willingness to travel 20-30% (up to 50% if remote).
- Experience leading design-build projects and process modeling software.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical and engineering leadership for Municipal Water treatment design.
- Serve as technical authority for treatment process decisions and calculations.
- Mentor senior and mid-level engineers within the team.
- Establish and enforce Kiewit’s water design standards and best practices.
- Lead proposals and pursuits, shaping technical strategy for large water projects.
