Job summary

Kiewit is seeking a Lead Process Engineer to drive design, integration, and execution across North America for industrial markets. You will lead process selection, develop PFDs/P&IDs, and coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver safe, cost-effective, and constructible solutions.

This role requires 10+ years in process design within DB/EPC environments and a strong ability to mentor engineers. The position supports multiple hubs (Denver, Lenexa, Houston) with relocation assistance and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Chemical Engineering or similar discipline.
• Minimum of 10 years’ experience in process development and detailed design in industrial markets.
• 10+ years’ experience leading process design for water and wastewater facilities; green tech exposure preferred.
• 5+ years’ experience managing an engineering and design team.
• PE registration preferred.
• Experience as process design lead on design-build projects preferred.
• Willingness to travel ~25%.
• Experience with hydraulic simulation or process modeling tools.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for industrial facility design, evaluating treatment processes and optimization.
• Prepare engineering reports, drawings and specifications (PFDs, P&IDs, hydraulics, sizing).
• Perform process hydraulics modeling and scenario studies.
• Resolve technical issues in design, construction, and operations.
• Mentor junior engineers and coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams.
• Support business development, client proposals and cost estimates.
• Travel and client engagement to support projects and pursuits.
