Job summary

Kiewit is seeking a Lead Process Engineer for its Industrial & Water Engineering team. You will guide process selection, design integration, and execution across North America for DB/EPC projects, mentoring junior staff and coordinating with multi-disciplinary teams.

This role offers exposure to renewable fuels, mining, semiconductors, and water treatment projects. The position requires 10+ years in process design, a chemical engineering background, and willingness to travel up to 25%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or similar.
• 10+ years in process development and design in industrial markets.
• Experience leading design on water/wastewater facilities.
• 10+ years engineering design experience.
• 5+ years leading an engineering design team.
• PE registration preferred.
• Willingness to travel ~25%.
• Experience with process modeling software.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and engineering leadership for industrial facility design including evaluation, selection and optimization of treatment processes.
• Prepare engineering reports, drawings, specifications (PFDs, P&IDs, datasheets, calculations).
• Perform process systems and hydraulics modeling and scenario studies.
• Resolve technical issues in design, construction, or operations.
• Lead multi-disciplinary teams within budget and schedule.
• Interface with clients and partners to support project needs and develop relationships.
• Coordinate multiple projects simultaneously.
• Provide consultation in treatment plant planning and design.
• Support business development and proposal cost estimates.
• Participate in professional organizations and client presentations.
• Represent Kiewit at meetings and hearings.
• Contribute to tools and resources for design efficiency.
• Mentor junior engineers and oversee progress.
