Job summary

GHD is seeking a Senior Process Engineer for US-based wastewater treatment design within our Water/Wastewater Division. The role emphasizes leading process engineering on large projects, mentoring junior staff, and collaborating with national experts.

You will contribute to innovative solutions, proposal development, and client workshops within a hybrid work model, with locations across US East offices and additional sites nationwide.

Qualifications

• Bachelors and/or Master's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
• Professional Engineer license.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in wastewater treatment design and research.
• Ability to lead process engineering for large complex wastewater projects.
• Excellent written and oral communication with mentoring and leadership abilities.
• Strong business development, proposal preparation, and marketing skills.

Responsibilities

• Execute advanced process designs for municipal and industrial wastewater facilities, focusing on nutrient removal and biosolids management.
• Collaborate with national experts to implement innovative wastewater treatment technologies on high-profile projects.
• Mentor and provide technical direction to junior process engineers to ensure project quality.
• Assist with technical proposals, crafting the process approach and innovative solutions.
• Conduct complex process modeling (BioWin, Sumo, GPS-X) following best practices.
• Perform QA/QC reviews of design calculations, reports, and drawings.
