Job summary

GHD is seeking a Senior Process Engineer to lead advanced design and delivery of wastewater treatment projects across the United States. You will work with national experts, mentor junior engineers, and support proposals while driving innovative solutions in a collaborative, hybrid-work environment.

The role requires a PE license, 8+ years of experience, and strong communication and business development skills to ensure project success and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
• Professional Engineer license
• Minimum 8 years of experience in wastewater treatment design and research
• Ability to lead process engineering for a large complex wastewater treatment project
• Excellent written and oral communication skills with proven ability to develop, mentor and lead professional technical staff
• Strong business development, proposal preparation, and marketing skills
• Flexible and able to meet challenging deadlines
• Strong client focus

Responsibilities

• Execute advanced process designs for municipal and industrial wastewater facilities
• Collaborate with senior national experts to implement innovative wastewater treatment technologies
• Mentor and provide technical direction to junior process engineers
• Assist with technical proposals and craft process approaches
• Conduct complex process modeling (BioWin, Sumo, GPS-X)
• Perform detailed QA/QC of designs, reports, and drawings
• Facilitate technical workshops for clients and evaluate alternatives
• Support on-site facility startups and troubleshooting
• Engage with equipment manufacturers on latest technologies
• Manage bench- and pilot-scale studies and scale-up recommendations
• Develop multi-criteria and life cycle cost analyses
• Participate in regional and national professional organizations
