Kiewit is seeking a Lead Process Engineer to guide process design across North American industrial projects in Renewable Fuels, Mining, Minerals, Semiconductor, and Process Industries. You will act as the process discipline lead on pursuits and projects, shaping treatment process selection and developing design packages with cross-discipline teams.

This senior role requires 10+ years of experience in design-build/EPC environments, strong mentorship, client engagement, and the ability to travel

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or higher in Chemical Engineering or related discipline
Minimum of 10 years of experience in process development, conceptual and detailed design, with a background in our industrial markets (Renewable Fuels, Mining and Minerals, Semiconductor, and Process Industries)
10+ years of experience in increasingly challenging positions
10+ years of experience performing engineering-related design or oversight of designs
5+ years of experience managing an engineering and design team
Professional Engineer (PE) registration preferred
Experience as process design engineering lead on design-build projects preferred
Willingness and availability to accommodate intermittent travel of approximately 25%
Preferred experience with hydraulic simulation software or process modeling and simulation software such as HYSYS, Aspen, BioWin, SUMO, HYSYS and/or Aspen, Metsim, OLI, Unisim
Ability to lead processing engineering tasks on a project within allocated budget and schedule, including mentoring and guidance of junior colleagues and professional interaction with other project disciplines

Responsabilités

Provide technical and engineering leadership for industrial facility design, including treatment process evaluation, selection, and optimization
Oversee and participate in engineering reports, drawings, and specifications for complex projects such as PFDs, P&IDs, process simulations, datasheets, and engineering calculations, including hydraulics and equipment sizing
Perform process systems and hydraulics modeling and scenario studies
Provide front-line resolution of technical issues associated with design, construction, equipment and/or operations
Work within a multidisciplinary team of engineers, budget, and schedule to execute project design and engineering
Interface with clients and partner engineers to support project and business development
Coordinate multiple projects simultaneously
Provide consultation in specialized areas related to treatment plant planning and design
Communicate and present industry trends, competitive situations, and technology or regulatory issues
Support business development and project pursuits. Contribute to client proposals and project cost estimates
Actively participate in professional organizations. Prepare and deliver presentations to clients and professional organizations
Represent Kiewit at meetings, presentations, and public hearings or meetings related to assigned projects
Participate in improving company resources and tools to improve design production and efficiency
Mentor entry- and mid-level engineers, review their progress and work, and provide direction and coaching as needed
