Job summary

Kiewit is seeking an Engineering Project Manager to lead multidisciplinary engineering efforts across complex industrial projects. You will guide deliverables from concept to commissioning, ensuring safety, quality, and performance in alignment with project goals.

The role requires 12+ years of experience in DB/EPC environments and strong leadership, communication, and collaboration with clients, vendors, and internal teams across design and construction phases.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Chemical, or related discipline) required.
• 5+ years of engineering design experience for DB, Progressive DB or EPC projects within the industrial market.
• At least 2 years of experience leading industrial projects.
• Experience managing engineering teams and design deliverables on large, complex projects.
• Experience with DB, Progressive DB, or EPC project execution, design development, and construction integration.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Lead multi-disciplinary engineering activities for assigned industrial projects, ensuring on-schedule, within-scope deliverables to Kiewit standards.
• Coordinate cross-functional engineering disciplines, construction teams, and external partners to resolve technical challenges.
• Oversee development, review, and approval of engineering documents, drawings, specifications, calculations, and reports.
• Drive early project planning, design development, and constructability reviews to optimize cost, schedule, and execution strategy.
• Manage engineering budgets, forecasts, progress tracking, and change management processes.
• Serve as primary technical liaison with clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure clear communication and timely issue resolution.
• Champion Kiewit’s safety, innovation, and continuous improvement across engineering activities.
• Support proposal development, estimating, and project pursuit with engineering input.
