Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Sr Principal Process Engineer – Level 4 for the Clearfield/Salt Lake City area in Utah. The role partners with design, production, and cross-functional teams to resolve manufacturing issues, improve safety, quality, cost, and efficiency, and drive corrective actions.

A 9/80 schedule with every other Friday off is offered, along with strong engineering growth opportunities. The candidate will analyze production data, support tooling and equipment implementation,

Qualifications

• 8 Years with Bachelors in Science; 6 Years with Masters; 4 Years with PhD.
• Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance.
• Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong problem solving skills and ability to work with minimal direction.
• Experience with aerospace specifications, composites, insulation/rubber processes, CNC machining, and AI tools is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Developing and improving manufacturing processes.
• Create and maintain detailed work instructions for products and processes.
• Coordinate with Design Engineering on design and manufacturability issues.
• Collaborate with production on day-to-day activities and resolve processing issues.
• Analyze processing data to identify trends and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain manufacturing BOM (MBOM) and support tooling/equipment qualification.
• Present technical solutions to leadership and customers.
