Job summary
Northrop Grumman’s Space Sector seeks a Process Engineer - Level 2 to join our team in Clearfield, UT / Salt Lake City, UT. You will work with design engineering, production, and cross-functional teams to resolve manufacturing issues and implement corrective actions for safety, quality, cost, and efficiency.
The successful candidate analyzes production data, supports tooling/equipment implementation, and presents solutions to leadership and review boards.
Qualifications
- 2 years with a Bachelor of Science; 0 years with a Masters
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance
- Strong organizational skills and communication
- Experience with aerospace specifications and drawings is preferred
Responsibilities
- Develop manufacturing processes
- Maintain detailed work instructions for products/processes
- Coordinate with Design Engineering on manufacturability issues
- Coordinate with production on day-to-day activities
- Assist in resolving processing issues
- Evaluate and aid in disposition of discrepant hardware
- Troubleshoot processes to improve safety, quality, cost, and efficiency
- Analyze processing data to highlight trends and implement corrective actions
- Maintain manufacturing bill of materials (MBOM)
- Prepare and present technical information to leadership and customers
