IDEX Corporation’s Performance Pneumatics Group in Benton Harbor, MI, seeks an Advanced Processing Engineer to lead machining, automation, and process development across our platform. This hands-on working manager role partners with Operations, Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, and Supply Chain to turn innovative ideas into measurable results.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s in Manufacturing/Mechanical Engineering, 8+ years of manufacturing experience, strong PLC/HMI and robotics

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
8+ years of experience in manufacturing, process engineering, or operations.
Hands-on CNC machining, programming, tooling, fixturing, and process improvement.
Experience with industrial automation including PLC/HMI, robotics, vision or motion systems.
Strong Lean, continuous improvement, or productivity leadership with measurable results.

Responsibilities

Lead advanced machining, automation, and process development across our platform.
Manage cross-functional project teams and mentor engineers and technicians.
Drive capital equipment projects from business case through installation and validation.
Develop standard processes, SOPs, routings, and change controls.
Provide shop-floor technical support and troubleshoot issues to improve OEE and yield.
Ensure safety, ergonomic, and quality system compliance across sites.
