Job summary

Anthropic is seeking an experienced Incident Response Manager to own and evolve incident management within the privacy team. You will drive detection, triage, containment, remediation, and post-incident review, coordinating across engineering, security, legal, and product to ensure timely and effective responses.

This senior role focuses on maturing processes, tracking metrics, and translating data into systemic improvements.

Qualifications

• Led or built incident response programs at a technology company.
• Demonstrated track record turning incident data into organizational improvements.
• Comfortable participating in on-call responsibilities and leading incident response during high-severity privacy events, including off-hours.
• Experience building and scaling operational processes from the ground up in environments without prior structure.
• Strong analytical skills with incident trend analysis, metrics reporting, and data-driven prioritization.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end privacy incident management program: detection workflows, response processes, escalation paths, communication standards, and remediation tracking.
• Serve as incident commander for privacy incidents, driving clear coordination across executive, engineering, security, legal, and other stakeholders.
• Establish and run incident commander rotations within privacy, ensuring clear ownership and effective coordination during incidents of varying severity.
• Drive post-incident accountability by defining how action items are captured, assigned, tracked, and completed across teams, ensuring follow-through on fixes and improvements.
• Gather, analyze, and report on incident trends and patterns to surface systemic risks, recurring root causes, and areas of vulnerability.
• Translate trend analysis into actionable cross-functional initiatives, partnering with engineering, infrastructure, security, and product teams to implement broad fixes.
