Job summary

Anthropic is seeking an Incident Response Manager to serve as the operational backbone for handling incidents. You will ensure the right people are engaged, information flows, and no detail slips through the cracks in high-stakes, high-volume situations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of incident management experience across technical product or infrastructure incidents.
• Experience building or shaping an incident response program in high-growth environments.
• Strong ownership, urgency, and decision-making under pressure.
• Ability to operate without pre-written playbooks and to write them as needed.

Responsibilities

• Build the incident response function with processes, tooling, and standards.
• Serve as on-call incident commander during incidents of varying severity.
• Coordinate incident communications across real-time and external channels.
• Lead blameless post-incident reviews and drive remediation actions.
• Develop escalation frameworks in partnership with engineering teams.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve detection, response, and learning.
