Job summary

Anthropic is seeking an experienced Incident Response Manager to own and evolve incident management within the privacy team. You will drive the end-to-end privacy incident lifecycle, from detection and triage through containment, remediation, and post-incident review.

You’ll partner with Privacy Legal and the Privacy Program team on notifiability, reporting, and executive updates, while maturing metrics, playbooks, and training across engineering, security, infrastructure, and product teams.

Qualifications

• Led or built incident response programs at a technology company.
• Turning incident data into organizational improvements through cross-functional work.
• Experience with on-call responsibilities during high-severity privacy events.
• Ability to scale operational processes from the ground up.
• Strong analytical, reporting, and data-driven prioritization skills.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end privacy incident management program: detection workflows, response processes, escalation paths, communication standards, and remediation tracking.
• Serve as incident commander for privacy incidents with cross-functional coordination across engineering, security, legal, and product teams.
• Drive post-incident accountability by defining action items, tracking, and follow-through on fixes and improvements.
• Gather and report incident trends to surface systemic risks and root causes across the organization.
• Partner with Privacy Legal on breach/notifiability assessments and cross-functional executive reporting.
• Develop and maintain privacy incident response playbooks, runbooks, and training materials.
