Job summary

RTX is seeking a Sr. Principal Test and Validation Engineer in Manufacturing Design to drive test strategy from development to production across programs. You will lead manufacturing test solutions, influence program decisions, mentor MDTEs, and collaborate across sites to improve cost, quality and cycle time while complying with security requirements.

The role is onsite at our Tucson, AZ facility and requires a U.S. citizenship with ability to obtain security clearance.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in STEM and 10+ years of relevant experience.
Leadership in a fast-paced technical or manufacturing environment.
Experience collaborating with stakeholders on manufacturing test strategy.
Experience with factory Test Equipment development and prove-in processes.
Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance (ATF clearance preferred).
U.S. citizenship required for security clearance.

Responsibilities

Serve as the manufacturing test authority across multiple programs.
Lead the implementation and maturation of production manufacturing test solutions.
Define enterprise-level test strategies and architecture and drive readiness and improvements.
Manage large-scale design, control, and improvements to manufacturing processes.
Recommend design requirements tailored to manufacturing and optimize costs, quality and cycle time.
Apply Six Sigma/CORE and data-driven decisions to improve test strategy and performance.
Mentor MDTEs/PTEs and lead cross-functional program initiatives.
