RTX is seeking a Sr. Principal Test and Validation Engineer in Manufacturing Design to drive test strategy from development through production across multiple programs. You will shape manufacturing test strategies, improve producibility, and influence program decisions for new product introductions.

The role requires leading test solutions, capacity improvements, and collaboration across sites, applying Six Sigma/CORE, and supporting security and operational plans. Onsite in Tucson, AZ.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) and minimum 10 years of relevant experience.
• Leadership experience in a fast paced technical or manufacturing environment.
• Experience collaborating with stakeholders to help drive decisions on manufacturing test strategy.
• Experience with factory Test Equipment development and prove-in processes.
• Ability to work on programs requiring special program access.
• The ability to obtain and maintain a Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives Access (ATF) clearance.
• Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Responsabilités

• Serve as the manufacturing test authority across multiple programs.
• Lead the implementation and maturation of production manufacturing test solutions across the portfolio.
• Define enterprise-level test strategies and architecture, driving test readiness, capacity, and maturity improvements.
• Shape testing practices across programs and manufacturing sites through influence and collaboration.
• Manage large scale design, control, and improvements to the manufacturing process.
• Recommend engineering design requirements tailored to manufacturing processes.
• Ensure quality control procedures evaluate products.
• Lead Continuous Process Improvements to enhance cycle time, automate, reduce costs using Six Sigma/CORE.
• Apply test engineering skills to optimize the manufacturing test strategy across the value stream.
• Influence business decisions from new designs through transition to production.
• Design and improve testability of products with a multi-disciplined team.
• Develop influential relationships with internal customers.
• Support OPSEC plan execution and security strategies affecting hardware deliveries.
• Support schedules and goals for each factory and key suppliers via Supply Chain partners.
• Lead cross-factory strategic improvement projects.
• Mentor MDTEs and PTEs.
• Lead cross-functional program strategic initiatives.
