Job summary

RTX, based at the Tucson, AZ facility, is seeking a Sr. Principal Test and Validation Engineer to drive manufacturing test strategy from development through production across programs.

You will shape test architecture, improve producibility, and influence program decisions for new product introductions. Responsibilities include leading test solutions across portfolios, guiding cross-functional teams, and advancing test maturity while ensuring quality and efficiency through data-driven decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Science/Engineering; 10+ years in fast-paced technical or manufacturing settings.
• Experience shaping manufacturing test strategy with stakeholders.
• Experience with factory test equipment development and prove-in processes.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government ATF clearance and security requirements.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the manufacturing test authority across multiple programs.
• Lead the implementation and maturation of production manufacturing test solutions.
• Define enterprise-level test strategies and architecture; drive readiness, capacity, and maturity improvements.
• Manage large-scale design, control, and improvements to the manufacturing process.
• Recommend engineering design requirements tailored to manufacturing processes.
• Lead continuous process improvements to reduce cost and cycle time using Six Sigma/CORE principles.
