RTX is hiring an Sr. Principal Test and Validation Engineer in Manufacturing Design at its Tucson, AZ onsite facility. You will drive test strategies across programs, improve producibility, and influence major program decisions during design to production transitions.

The role requires leading test solutions, mentoring engineers, and collaborating with multiple sites while upholding security and quality standards. A strong background in manufacturing test is essential.

Qualificações

• Typically Requires a Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) and minimum 10 years of relevant experience.
• Leadership experience in a fast paced technical or manufacturing environment.
• Experience collaborating with stakeholders to help drive decisions on manufacturing test strategy.
• Experience with factory Test Equipment development and prove-in processes
• Ability to work on programs requiring special program access.
• The ability to obtain and maintain a Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives Access (ATF) clearance.
• Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Responsabilidades

• Serve as the manufacturing test authority across multiple programs.
• Lead the implementation and maturation of production manufacturing test solutions across the portfolio.
• Define enterprise-level test strategies and architecture, driving test readiness, capacity, and maturity improvements.
• Manage large scale design, control, and improvements to the manufacturing process.
• Recommend engineering design requirements tailored to manufacturing processes.
• Recommend process and procedural changes to improve cost, efficiency, and quality.
• Ensure quality control procedures adequately evaluate products.
• Lead Continuous Process Improvements to reduce cycle time and costs using Six Sigma/CORE.
• Apply test engineering skillsets across the extended value stream to optimize manufacturing test strategy.
• Influence business decisions from new designs through production transition.
• Design, control, and improve testability of products with multi-disciplinary teams.
• Develop influential relationships with internal customers.
• Support OPSEC plan execution and security strategy for hardware deliveries.
• Support development of schedules, priorities and goals for factories and suppliers.
• Lead cross-factory strategic improvement projects.
• Mentor, coach, and train MDTEs and PTEs.
• Lead cross-functional program strategic initiatives.
