Northrop Grumman is seeking a Sr. Principal Systems Engineer to lead systems engineering baseline maturation for the Digital Ecosystem programs.

The role involves guiding teams under senior engineers, applying model-based and digital engineering practices, and coordinating with customer representatives to pursue capability insertions across the lifecycle. The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of systems engineering experience, MBSE expertise, and experience with cloud-based and high-performance

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical discipline; 8+ years experience, or 6+ years with a Master’s; 4+ years with a PhD.
• U.S. Citizen with active DoD Secret clearance; ability to obtain SAP approval; current within scope.
• 5+ years systems engineering experience across the program lifecycle; MBSE experience; cloud and HPC exposure; software/IT-centric systems experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead systems engineering baseline maturation for Digital Ecosystem programs; guide a small or cross-disciplinary team under senior engineers and program leadership.
• Apply model-based engineering and digital engineering practices to lifecycle management of complex systems.
• Collaborate with customers and stakeholders to pursue incremental capability insertions and maintain program schedules.
