Job summary
Northrop Grumman is seeking a Principal/Senior Principal Systems Engineer for the Melbourne, FL campus to lead the Digital Engineering Ecosystem (DEE) architecture and provide senior technical leadership across MBSE, IT infrastructure, and government-facing workscopes. The role requires independent leadership, mentoring, and direct engagement with government customers and program leadership.
The position emphasizes MBSE tools (Cameo, Orbus), DOORS/RTM, cloud integration, and AI-enabled
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, CS, or related STEM with relevant IT/SE experience.
- Current U.S. Government Secret level security clearance (or higher).
- 5–8 years in IT Systems Engineering, Architecture, or Defense IT.
- Demonstrated experience with Digital Engineering Ecosystem or similar program-level IT architecture.
Responsibilities
- Lead DEE architecture end-to-end and govern framework across stakeholders.
- Collaborate with data scientists, software engineers, and program managers.
- Mentor engineers and interface with government customers and IPT leadership.
- Ensure compliance with DoD IT standards and security requirements.
