Job summary

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems in San Diego seeks a Staff Systems Engineer to advance enterprise-wide digital transformation through Model-based Engineering, DevSecOps and Agile practices.

The role requires cross-IPT collaboration, requirements development, and architecture content maturation for large programs, with a focus on system integration and lab environments. A current Secret clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Systems, Software, or related STEM field with 12 years of experience, or 9 years with a Masters; or 6 years with a PhD.
• Demonstrated communication and technical writing skills.
• Proven experience in the systems engineering process.
• Experience in system requirements development, management, analysis, verification, or validation.
• Must be a US Citizen.
• Current/active US Government Secret clearance required.
• Must currently have SAP or able to obtain SAP.

Responsibilities

• Perform functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into specifications using DOORS.
• Develop systems architecture using Cameo Enterprise Architecture.
• Ensure system requirements, architecture, and designs integrate with the program's technical needs.
• Collaborate with program IPT counterparts to develop supporting systems engineering and design artifacts.
• Work with technical teams and stakeholders to develop architecture content of large programs.
