RTX’s Processing, Guidance and Controls (PG&C) Center in Tucson, AZ is seeking a Sr. Principal Systems Engineer – RF Signal Processing to design, prototype, integrate and test RF algorithms and models used across RTX products and new initiatives.

You will lead and mentor a technical team, drive development from startup to live-fire testing, and ensure performance across diverse sensor modalities. This onsite role emphasizes RF signal processing for EO/IR, radar, and related domains.

Formación

• Typical requires a Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 10 years of relevant prior experience.
• Signal processing experience EO/IR, RF, Sonar, and/or Acoustic domains
• Experience with the C programming language, or Object-Oriented Programming with C++, C#, and/or Java
• Experience with algorithm design, implementation, analysis, testing, and/or optimization
• Experience managing or leading others in a technical and/or functional capacity within an engineering environment
• Ability to obtain and maintain an Interim Secret U.S. government issued Security Clearance is required prior to start date with the ability to obtain special program access after start.

Responsabilidades

• Act as a recognized signal processing subject matter expert, technical leader, and/or functional leader responsible for budget, schedule, development, execution, and completion of complex program objectives.
• Use and modify simulations for design, development, prototyping, integration, testing, and performance assessment of RF algorithms and models.
• Test, verify, and validate RF models and signal processing algorithm performance in lab and field environments per requirements.
• Contribute in all development phases from program start-up to live-fire testing, improving processes and providing SM expertise in reviews and briefings.
• Oversee a technical team, mentor engineers, and/or manage an engineering project.
