Job summary

RTX is seeking a Sr. Principal Systems Engineer – RF Signal Processing to join the PG&C Center in Tucson, AZ. You will design, develop, prototype, integrate, and assess RF signal processing algorithms used across RTX products and new initiatives, enabling accurate sensor data calibration, denoising, tracking, and fusion.

You’ll mentor engineers, collaborate across disciplines, and contribute through all development phases from start-up to live-fire testing in an onsite Tucson-based role.

Qualifications

• Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) is typically required.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in signal processing.
• Experience with C/C++ or Java/C# for software development.
• Ability to obtain/interim Secret clearance; eligible for security clearance.
• Experience leading or mentoring engineers in an engineering environment.

Responsibilities

• Act as a signal processing SME and lead program objectives, schedules, and budgets.
• Develop, adapt, and test RF signal processing algorithms and models.
• Test and validate RF models in production, lab, and field environments against requirements.
• Participate in all development phases from start-up to live-fire testing, improving processes.
• Lead a technical team or project within an engineering context.
