Job summary

RTX is seeking a Sr. Principal Systems Engineer – RF Signal Processing for the Tucson, AZ site. The role focuses on design, development, prototyping, integration, testing, and performance evaluation of RF signal processing algorithms applied across RTX products and new business initiatives.

This onsite position requires collaboration across disciplines and leadership of a technical team. The candidate will work through all development phases, using simulations, lab tests, and live-fire

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or higher STEM degree with 10+ years of related experience.
• Signal processing experience in EO/IR, RF, Sonar, or Acoustic domains.
• Proficiency in C, C++, C#, or Java programming languages.
• Experience in algorithm design, implementation, testing, and optimization.
• Experience leading engineers in an engineering environment.
• Ability to obtain Interim Secret U.S. government clearance prior to start.

Responsibilities

• Act as signal processing expert and leader for budget, schedule, and program objectives.
• Modify simulations for RF algorithms and models during design and integration.
• Test and validate RF models and signal processing in lab, production, and field environments.
• Contribute in all development phases from startup to live-fire testing and provide reviews.
• Mentor engineers and/or manage an engineering project.
