Job summary

RTX's Signals Processing team is seeking a Sr. Principal Systems Engineer – RF Signal Processing for onsite work in Tucson, AZ.

You will design, develop, prototype, integrate, test, and assess RF signal processing algorithms used to extract sensor information and enable object detection, tracking, and fusion across programs. You will guide development across all phases, mentor engineers, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact solutions for defense applications.

Qualifications

• Degree in STEM with 10+ years of experience.
• Signal processing experience in EO/IR, RF, Sonar, or Acoustic domains.
• Experience with C/C++ programming or OOP with C++, C#, or Java.
• Experience with algorithm design, implementation, testing, and optimization.
• Experience leading others in an engineering environment.

Responsibilities

• Act as signal processing SME, lead program objectives (budget/schedule).
• Use/modify simulations for RF algorithms and models.
• Test/validate RF models in production and lab environments.
• Contribute across development phases from start-up to live-fire testing.
• Oversee a technical team and mentor engineers.
