Job summary

RTX’s Effector RF Design Department seeks a Senior Principal RF Mechanical Engineer to lead a section of RF engineers and contribute across the full lifecycle of RF hardware products. You will mentor teams, manage performance, and collaborate with systems engineering, manufacturing, and suppliers to deliver complex RF solutions.

The role is onsite in Tucson, AZ, with 85% technical contribution and 15% leadership focus.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a STEM degree and 10+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience in RF packaging design and/or GD&T for RF products.
• Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide functional leadership for a section of RF Engineers (10–20 staff).
• Lead design, development, integration and qualification of RF hardware.
• Oversee supplier technical oversight and ensure program objectives are met.
• Mentor engineers and drive career development and performance.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams across systems engineering and manufacturing.
