Job summary

RTX’s Effector RF Design Team in Tucson, AZ is seeking a Principal Engineer to lead RF hardware packaging and multidisciplinary teams. The role requires driving technology roadmaps, providing guidance, and ensuring hardware compliance with customer requirements.

The position is onsite in Tucson with potential relocation and a security clearance required. You will mentor staff and collaborate with program leadership to deliver innovative RF solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) with 8+ years of experience, or an advanced degree with 6+ years.
• Experience designing, analyzing, or leading RF mechanical products through the lifecycle (antennas, CCAs, radomes, RF test equipment).
• Experience creating Technical Data Packages (TDPs) using GD&T for RF products.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design activities involving RF hardware.
• Lead multidiscipline teams and optimize team strengths.
• Conduct trade studies and plan forward to meet cost, schedule, and performance goals.
• Regularly report task status and influence strategic plans across teams and leadership.
• Fill roles as needed to support business unit successes.
