Job summary

RTX is seeking a Senior Principal RF Mechanical Engineer to serve as a Section Lead in Tucson, Arizona. The role blends hands-on RF hardware design with functional leadership, dedicating ~85% of time to program support across the full development lifecycle.

Ideal candidates will have a STEM degree, 10+ years of experience, and an active DoD Secret clearance. On-site work in Tucson is required, with strong opportunities to mentor and lead cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience.
• Experience in RF packaging design and analysis throughout product life cycle, incl. 3D CAD.
• Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a section of RF Electronics engineers.
• Lead or support RF hardware design, development, integration, and qualification.
• Provide technical oversight of suppliers and ensure program objectives (cost, schedule, performance).
• Collaborate with Systems Engineering, Structural and Thermal Analysts, Manufacturing, Test and Quality teams.
