Job summary

RTX, a leading aerospace and defense company, seeks a Senior Principal Quality Engineer to join the Collins Aerospace ECS quality team. You will drive customer satisfaction, product quality, and continuous improvement across global supply chains, by leading QA processes and collaborating with executives and customers.

The role requires strong experience in aerospace quality, APQP/PPAP, RCCA and data-driven decision making, with travel up to 20%.

Qualifications

Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics required with 8+ years of relevant experience.
U.S. citizenship required to access program information.
Experience with RCCA and 8D problem solving.
Experience with APQP and PPAP.
Familiarity with AS9100/AS9110 standards.
Experience communicating across all organizational levels.

Responsibilities

Understand customer requirements and communicate key points to the supply chain.
Understand APQP objectives and implement RTX ZERO initiatives along with RCCA for investigations.
Analyze and recommend QA plans, guidelines, policies and processes to meet quality targets.
Lead projects to improve overall quality and oversee teams handling specific customers.
Provide production process analysis and recommend quality improvements.
Collect and analyze quality data to develop strategy and programs.
Review quality processes to reduce COPQ and escapes.
Communicate process changes to internal teams and document engineering changes.
Support customer presentations and audits.
Travel 10–20%.
