Job summary

Collins Aerospace is seeking a Senior Principal Quality Engineer to join the Customer Quality team in the Engine Control Systems (ECS) unit. You will lead quality assurance efforts, work with global supply chain, and report to executives and customers on quality initiatives.

The role requires extensive QA expertise, collaboration across functions, and the ability to influence processes and standards to continuously improve quality. Hybrid work model and travel up to 20% are expected.

Qualifications

• Requires STEM degree and typically 8+ years of relevant experience; advanced degree may reduce experience need.
• Experience communicating with executives, customers and cross-functional teams.
• Proficient in RCCA/8D problem-solving and APQP/PPAP processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead quality assurance plans and programs to meet customer requirements.
• Oversee RCCA investigations and drive continuous improvement across supply chain.
• Collaborate with engineering and operations to reduce COPQ and improve product quality.
• Provide customer-facing quality support and participate in audits and reviews.
• Travel up to 10–20% as needed.
