Job summary

Collins Aerospace is seeking a Senior Principal Quality Engineer to join the Customer Quality team within the Engine Control Systems (ECS) business unit, supporting Power and Controls. This role drives customer satisfaction, product quality, and continuous improvement across the global supply chain, interfacing with executives and customers to communicate progress and initiatives.

The candidate will manage multiple QA processes, influence standards and plans, and work as an individual

Qualifications

• Typically requires a STEM degree and 8+ years of relevant experience; advanced degree with 5 years experience acceptable
• Must be a U.S. Citizen
• Experience with Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
• Experience with SAP
• Experience with RCCA/problem-solving using 8D or similar tools

Responsibilities

• Understand customer requirements and communicate them to the supply chain; may include military and commercial programs
• Implement APQP and RTX ZERO programs in addition to RCCA
• Develop QA plans, guidelines, policies to meet quality targets and document compliance
• Lead projects to improve quality and manage customer-focused teams
• Provide production process analysis and recommend quality improvements
• Collect and analyze quality data to shape strategy and programs
• Review quality improvement processes to reduce COPQ and escapes
• Communicate changes to internal teams and support customer audits
