Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Sr. Principal Mechanical Engineer for the Sentinel program in Roy, UT. You will provide technical contributions to missile subsystem concepts and technology maturation, focusing on launcher capsule and avionics/airframe integration.

Qualifications

Active DoD Secret security clearance at time of application and ability to obtain Top Secret.
Minimum 2 years in design, manufacturing, or test engineering.
Experience with DoD weapon system support system conceptual and preliminary design.
Experience with ballistic missiles, cruise missiles, or weapon support systems.
Strong attention to detail, follow-through and time management.
Excellent verbal and written communication and proactive interpersonal initiative.

Responsibilities

Contribute to conceptual and preliminary design and technology maturation for advanced missile concepts.
Develop launcher capsule design concepts and oversee avionics and airframe integration.
Support trade studies, architecture development, and system engineering within cost and schedule constraints.
Collaborate across divisions and suppliers to achieve team goals.
Transition innovative solutions for US strategic deterrence programs to programs of record.
