Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Principal or Sr. Principal Design Engineer to support the Sentinel infrastructure and facilities in Roy, UT. You will coordinate Civil/Structural, Mechanical and Electrical system designs across internal and external teams for critical launch facilities and test centers.

You will verify compliance with UFC, MIL-STD, and codes, prepare design packages, and drive design changes while managing risk and configuration control. A DoD Secret/SAP clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM with 5+ years of related experience; or Master's with 3 years.
• Sr. Principal level requires 8 years with a bachelor's; or 6 years with a master's.
• U.S. Citizen with ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance and SAP clearance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Civil/Structural, Mechanical and Electrical systems design for Sentinel infrastructure and facilities.
• Verify industry standards, guidelines, and codes for project deliverables.
• Participate in project design/model reviews and review subcontractor designs.
