Job summary

Apex Companies seeks a Senior Principal Engineer Manager to lead multidisciplinary infrastructure projects in Washington. You will oversee scope, schedule, and budget while guiding design and delivery across multiple agencies and regions.

Based in Vancouver, WA, you will help grow our regional presence, collaborate with local offices, and mentor engineers to deliver complex roadway, bridge, and multimodal projects with high standards and client focus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required.
• 15+ years of progressive experience managing transportation projects for Washington and Oregon agencies.
• Professional Engineer license in Washington and Oregon or ability to obtain within six months.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary transportation design projects from pursuit through construction.
• Knowledge of WSDOT Design Manual, AASHTO, MUTCD, and WA/OR standards.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and AutoCAD Civil 3D.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Project Manager for multidisciplinary infrastructure projects with budgets exceeding $3 million annually.
• Lead business development efforts with agencies in Washington and Oregon.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships and identify new opportunities.
• Mentor junior engineers and project managers to foster growth.
• Represent the firm at client meetings and industry events to strengthen market presence.
