Job summary

ENERCON is seeking a Senior or Principal Instrumentation and Controls Design Engineer to join our Nuclear Design Group in the United States. The role supports multi-discipline project teams performing upgrades and modifications to nuclear power plants, with clear path from mid-level to principal roles and opportunities to mentor others.

The position covers digital systems (PLC, DCS, HMIs), sensors, system requirements, design change packages, and field support.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
Experience in instrumentation and control systems design for nuclear power plants preferred.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

Develop engineering deliverables: drawings, calculations, and analyses.
Set engineering documents to meet client, ENERCON, and regulatory requirements.
Stay current with industry codes, safety culture principles, and design techniques.
Deliver high-quality engineering solutions within QA programs.
Build strong client relationships through clear communication and professional engagement.
Provide field support: on-site walkdowns and verification of structures, systems and components.
