Job summary

ENERCON Services, Inc. is seeking a Senior or Principal Instrumentation and Controls Design Engineer to join our Nuclear Design Group. This role supports multi-discipline project teams on upgrades and modifications to nuclear power plants across the United States.

You will work on digital systems (PLCs, DCS, HMI), field instrumentation, and I&C design documentation while mentoring less-experienced engineers. Travel about 10% is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, Computer, Nuclear Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in design engineering of instrumentation and control systems; 10+ years for Principal.
• Experience with power plant instrumentation and controls design for BWR or PWR units.
• Experience developing system requirement/ procurement specifications, design descriptions/control narratives, test plans/test procedures, and requirements traceability matrices.
• US Citizenship is required due to Federal Contract Requirements.
• Approximate travel of 10% as needed.

• Stay on the Cutting Edge: keep up with industry codes and safety principles in the nuclear sector.
• Drive Quality & Precision: deliver robust engineering solutions within QA programs.
• Cultivate Strong Client Connections: build trust through clear communication and professional engagement.
• Collaborate Across Disciplines: work with multi-disciplinary teams on integrated designs.
• Provide Field Support: perform on-site walkdowns and ensure compliance of structures, systems, and components.
