Job summary

ENERCON is seeking Senior or Principal Instrumentation and Controls Design Engineers to join the Nuclear Design Group in the United States. Roles include mentoring, advancing career progression, and leading multi-discipline project teams on upgrades and modifications for nuclear power plants.

Responsibilities cover design, specification development, and field support across locations, with a focus on PLC/DCS, instrumentation, sensors, and HMI systems. Travel up to 10% may be required.

Qualifications

• Degree in engineering or equivalent education/experience.
• Experience in instrumentation and control systems design for nuclear power plants preferred.
• Ability to develop system requirement/specifications and procurement documents.
• Experience reviewing design drawings, instrument data sheets, and cyber security documents.

Responsibilities

• Develop engineering deliverables: drawings, calculations, and analyses, meeting codes and client expectations.
• Create engineering documents that meet client, ENERCON, and regulatory requirements.
• Stay updated on industry codes and safety culture principles.
• Deliver engineering solutions aligned with QA programs and project performance.
• Build client relationships through clear communication and reliable results.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to produce integrated designs.
