Job summary

ENERCON is hiring Senior or Principal Instrumentation and Controls Design Engineers to join our Nuclear Design Group. You’ll contribute to multi-disciplinary teams upgrading and maintaining nuclear power plants, focusing on PLC/DCS, I&C system design, and field support.

The role offers diverse paths from senior to principal levels and mentorship, with relocation to multiple US locations. A strong design background, regulatory awareness, and travel readiness are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, Computer, Nuclear Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in design engineering of instrumentation and control systems; 10+ years for Principal level.
• Experience with power plant instrumentation and controls systems design for nuclear units (BWR/PWR).
• Experience developing system requirements, procurement specs, design descriptions, test plans, and traceability matrices.
• US Citizenship required; travel ~10%.
