Job summary

ENERCON Services, Inc. is seeking a Senior or Principal Instrumentation and Controls Design Engineer to join our Nuclear Design Group. Lead and mentor teams, work on PLCs, DCSs, sensors, and procurement specifications, and contribute to system design across multiple U.S. sites, including Charlotte, NC.

The role emphasizes design deliverables, regulatory compliance, and field support with travel up to 10%. US citizenship is required for federal projects; some roles may be remote in select states.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, Computer, Nuclear Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in design engineering of instrumentation and control systems; 10+ years for Principal level.
• Experience with power plant instrumentation and controls design for either BWR or PWR units.
• Experience in preparing, marking up, and reviewing design drawings, instrument data sheets, and software/cyber security documents.
• Experience developing system requirement/ procurement specifications, design descriptions/control narratives, test plans/test procedures, and requirements traceability matrices.
• US Citizenship is required due to Federal Contract Requirements.
• Approximate travel of 10% as needed.
